Quarter rounds

I was over an another mothboaters house a few weeks ago.  He was cleaning out stuff and asked me if I wanted two short chunks of mahogany 3/8 inch 1/4 rounds.    I said yes.  Knew exactly where they would go.  Perfect fit for the outside edge of the inner coaming.   With these two chunks of wood the woodwork on this boat is done.  Still have a lot of sanding and fairing plus some floorboards.

Rub rails

We are inching along with Griff.  I got her in the shed and all the other boats are put away for the winter.  I have a little bit of work space but I don't have too much more to do.  I'll have this boat race ready by June.  I made rubrails from some red oak and then stained them mahogany.  Hopefully that will check the black stain that oak takes on over time.
